GOD - Father, Son, Holy Spirit

I didn’t grow up in the church but my mother would take us four kids sometimes up through high school to a Presbyterian church.  Occasionally I would read common Bible stories – things like David & Goliath, Noah and the Flood, etc.  I certainly never knew Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savoir.  By the time I reached 46 years old, even though I had a family and a good career, I felt I was missing something.  The Holy Spirit was working on me I suppose.  I felt like I needed to get back into church – full time, not just sometimes.

By this time, Kerin had felt the same for a while now.  Our daughter was attending a large church with her boyfriend’s family and she told us about it.  We started attending regularly and really enjoyed it.  I got involved with the sound ministry and other things.

This is how I got saved – my cousin and I had always talked a lot in the past and emailed each other about our families and things going on.  In one email years ago, we were telling each other about books we had read.  She told me about a fictional series called Left Behind and it sounded intriguing.  I believe there were 10 books in that series.  I started reading and I was hooked!  I loved it.  There were a lot of scriptural references and I looked them all up throughout.  What an incredible story!  I might have gotten Saved later without her telling me about those books, but I give credit to my dear cousin for Saving my life!

Since then, my wife and I were asked to join an organization called Tres Dias in April, 2007.  We joined then and have been active ever since.  This is a lay-led Christian ecumenical community whose purpose is to train and encourages its members to serve and become leaders in their local churches.  What a journey that has been!
